Singapore was one of the first countries hit by COVID-19, recording its first case in January 2020. Cut to May 2021, and though there were plenty of shots available, only 31% of the population had gotten their jab.
So as Southeast Asia’s biggest ride hailing company, Gojek decided to offer the one incentive we could to encourage more people to get their shots: we’d take them for free to and from their vaccination centers. From anywhere in the country to any hospital, clinic or community center.
Throughout the campaign, Gojek drove over 1 million Singaporeans to their vaccination appointments (accounting for 1/5 of the entire population), helping the country go from a 31 % to an 80 % vaccination rate within the period of the campaign, thereby becoming the world’s most vaccinated country. But not only that, Gojeks market share increased by 55% during the campaign period making it the most effective promo campaign ever for the brand!
